I bought a REAR PAINT GUARD for my Dodge Journey 2010 for $132. It was supposed to protect the paint on my bumper.

 

I bought a BLACK unit that was supposed to be a molded BLACK plastic unit. When opend the box it was a silver one that had BLACK RUBBER PAINT sprayed on it.

 

It installed perfect, then the next day, the paint all started peeling off. It started where there were ridges. NO primer was use when it was painted, and it was not scuffed up so the paint would stick.

 

Within 24hrs ALL the black rubbed and rolled off.,Leaving me with their silver unit that they had painted.

 

It fits nice but looks like hell on my black trimmed car.

 

Have on idea how to remove the 3M tape without destroying my bumper.

NO reply from company about replacement. Their website states ONCE installed .. no refund.

Heck.. It was fine until it 24hrs after install... A PAINT GUARD should not have its own

paint peeling!!!

 

I did a dispute with paypay.  Hoping they will refund me.

 

UPDATE: Once paypal disputed the problem, they did refund my money, as long as I arranged

to ship the unit back on my own. I needed to purchase 3M release spray for $35 to remove the

unit. I paid to send it back, then got my refund. They have informed me that the new black unit

is now molded rather than sprayed. I have not ordered a replacement.
